Lead Vocalist: Born in Los Angeles raised in Stockton Jerry began playing the bass guitar and singing at the age of 13. The nephew of Nicolas Caldwell of the legendary R&B group the Whispers, Jerry joined local powerhouse band the Coming Of Man and recorded and wrote his first record Sunny Day at 16. This experience allowed him to open up for such acts as Sonny & Cher, War, Tower Of Power, Canned Heat, and the Jazz Crusaders. Quiet by nature, he is full of energy when it comes to Showtime.

Bass Guitar & Vocals: Jerry Serrano was born in Visalia, California but was raised in the Bay Area. He started playing Trumpet in Elementary school for awhile but then, he got involved in playing sports like baseball and football. He did not get back into music until after college. He started playing guitar. He would watch his very good friend’s band play whenever he could. His buddy Nash Montoya was a very good guitar player and the leader of the band. “Nash had an old bass guitar that he let me use. He said to me, at that time, “Guitar players are a dime a dozen, but a good bass player is hard to find.” Within 3 months, Jerry was already playing music in his first band. “I remember our first gig”, we played at a house party. The owners of the house also owned a pizza parlor. “Our pay was, all the pizza we could eat!
Jerry joined a 9 piece horn band named Asha. Billy Sims was also in the band. “Billy and I go way back.” This is where Jerry learned about harmonies and vocals. “I don’t consider myself a lead singer, but more of a background singer. Jerry then played with another horn band that included his buddy Nash Montoya. The Stride Rite Band played throughout the Bay Area. “We played weddings and clubs, many times, weddings during the day and clubs the same night.They eventually started playing concerts, opening for groups like The Shirelles, (Soldier Boy, Dedicated To The One I Love), The Midniters (Land Of A Thousand Dances), Bobby Freeman (Do You Want To Dance, The Swim), Bobby Day (Rockin Robin, Over and Over). He then left the music business again to play competitive softball and receive his AS degree in Electrical Engineering . He started playing music again in the 90’s with a 5 piece band until the early 2000’s.“Coming out recently and playing again with The Bump City Reunion Band is such a thrill and honor”. “Playing with Billy Sims again is so awesome, the members in the group are so good and I get to play with my younger son, Joseph Serrano.” Joseph is the drummer in the group. A proud moment for Jerry, was when he was able to play with his two sons Joseph Serrano and Daniel Casares and with Tower of Power’s Mic Gillette at the boys high school Jazz Band Seminar. “One of the songs we played was Squib Cakes! Jerry has also talked music with Frank Prestia (Bass Player), Greg Adams (Horn Player) also with Tower of Power. I have admired Tower of Power as a youth and now!
Drums: Joseph Serrano is a 27 year old Northern California drummer. At 8 years old, he began drumming to bands like Santana, The Eagles, Tower of Power, and anything else his parents played on the radio. Joseph was a part of the school music programs from 3rd grade till he graduated high school, including the high school jazz band, marching band, and winter percussion. He started his own band when he was 14 years old. Since then, hes written and recorded drums on 3 full lengths, 1 five song EP, and countless demos from his band’s early days.
Lead Guitar & Vocals: Clint McFadden is a music teacher and guitar player who owns his own custom-built recording studio. He has worked with many well known bands and singers, including Bobby Brown, Janet Jackson, and Todd Agnew. When he is not introducing children to the world of music or teaching his GIOL students, Clint is practicing and performing with other talented musicians. He knows a variety of styles including blues, rock, jazz, and country, is always professional and friendly, and guarantees students will learn something new during every lesson with GIO
Keyboard & Vocals: Michael began playing in various funk and rock bands from 1973 into the early 1980s and resumed his music collaboration with others starting in the 21st century. From 2008 through 2018, Michael played with the “Vine Dawgz”, a classic rock band the out of Lodi California. In 2015, he played in a classic R&B/funk band out of Elk Grove California called the “Jet Set” through mid-2018. Michael has been playing and enjoying the musical collaboration and delivery with the Bump City Reunion Band family since May of 2018. Saxophone & Vocals: Billy is the founder and leader of ReUnion. Billy has toured and performed with numerous bands throughout Northern California and the Bay Area (Sound Factory, Stroke,Too Smooth, Retro Groove, Cartel, Marvin Zeller) and shared the stage with The Temptations, Stylistics and Mic Gillette. Billy is a former member of the Highway 61 Blues Band, which performed at the Monterey Blues Festival in 2006. Billy can be heard on Highway 61 Blues Band CD which is available on iTunes

Brass & Vocals:Born and raised in the Central Valley of California, Matt has been playing the trumpet for over 40 years. Matt became a professional musician playing in his first band at the age of 17. Matt has shared the stage with many known artist. “I just love playing he says” Although Matt works a 40 hour plus week he continues to play his trumpet as much as he can and has been fortunate to still play and record with various artist such as Jeff Tamelier, Mic Gillette, Skip Mesquite, Marc Russo and Lenny Williams, all former members of Tower of Power. The list also includes, Jon Smith (Edgar Winters White Trash), Johnny Hernandez (Tierra), Stevie Keys Roseman and Ross Valory (Journey). Matt has also been awarded Blues Trumpet Player of the Year 2007 West Coast Blues Hall of Fame. Bay Area Blues Society
Tenor Saxophone: A Sacramento resident, born and raised in Stockton, California. Jerry started playing the Saxophone at the early age of 13, and played his first professional gig at age 15. Jerry has played in a variety of venues including Soul, Funk, R&B, Latin, Smooth Jazz, and Zydeco. Jerry has opened for such acts as BB King; Bobbie Blue Bland; Isaac Hayes, Jorge Santana, and many more. Jerry is thrilled to be welcomed into the Bump City Reunion Band and looking forward to playing with this extraordinarily talented group.

James really loves his job ( its not really a job! ) My kids are all grown-up and now I watch them raise their kids/my grandchildren and love every minute around them.
